Affiliate disclosure
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up for a platform through one of them, we may receive a commission from that platform. It costs you nothing extra. In one case, Welya, it also gets you 10 % off: that is a reader discount the platform offers through its affiliate programme, not a rate we negotiated.
Which links
Our affiliate links go through /go/: /go/welya/, /go/webinarjam/ and /go/everwebinar/. Their link text says “(affiliate link)”. One exception: the old Kartra address under /go/ is no longer an affiliate link. It is kept only so that old links still work, and it sends you to Kartra’s public pricing page with no tracking. Links that point straight at a vendor’s own domain carry no tracking tag. One caveat: if you reached a vendor through one of our tracked links earlier, that vendor's own cookie may still credit a later purchase to us, even if you come back through a plain link. Every outbound link to a vendor carries rel="sponsored nofollow" whether it is tracked or not.
At the time of writing we hold two affiliate agreements, which between them cover four platforms on this site:
- Welya — 20 % recurring commission for as long as the subscription runs, through the FirstPromoter platform, plus the reader discount code
onetomany(10 % off). We are also enrolled in Welya's second-tier programme, which pays 5 % when another affiliate we introduce makes a sale. That recruitment link is not published anywhere on this site. - Genesis Digital: Kartra, WebinarJam and EverWebinar — one programme on the PartnerStack network that covers all three products. We joined on 14 September 2026. Under the terms we received, it pays 40 % of each payment for the first 12 months of a monthly subscription, or 40 % once on a yearly subscription, and nothing after that. The vendor's public partner page says “up to 40 %”.
Every other platform on this site (Demio, eWebinar, WebinarGeek, ClickMeeting, Livestorm, BigMarker) is listed without any commercial relationship. This list changes as programmes are joined, and this page is updated the same day. Last updated 29 September 2026: we corrected it to name WebinarJam and EverWebinar, which the Genesis Digital programme has covered since we joined it on 14 September. That correction came two weeks late, and we would rather say so than let it pass.
One more correction you should know about. The Genesis Digital programme gave us WebinarJam and EverWebinar links, not a Kartra one. Until 29 September 2026, the “Kartra” button on this site used a PartnerStack link that landed on webinarjam.com, not on kartra.com. A purchase made after that click would have been a WebinarJam purchase, credited to us. This is now corrected: the tracked Kartra buttons have been replaced by plain, untracked links to kartra.com/pricing. Kartra is retiring its webinar module: from 1 November 2026, webinars can no longer be created or edited.
A conflict you should know about
Kartra, WebinarJam and EverWebinar all belong to Genesis Digital, and our Genesis agreement covers all three. We are therefore affiliated with WebinarJam and EverWebinar, the two platforms whose pricing we criticise on this site.
In other words, we can earn a commission on the very products whose pricing we argue against on two pages: our WebinarJam page and our EverWebinar page. We are telling you this rather than waiting for you to find it, because it is exactly the kind of thing that should change how much weight you give our conclusion.
This conflict cuts both ways. Our EverWebinar page argues that standalone EverWebinar costs more than the WebinarJam plan that includes it, so it steers some readers towards another product covered by the same affiliate programme. Since 29 September 2026, the WebinarJam and EverWebinar links in our comparisons are Genesis Digital affiliate links: they go through /go/webinarjam/ and /go/everwebinar/ and are marked “(affiliate link)”. Before that date they were plain links to the vendors’ sites. One thing you can check for yourself: where our pages point you to WebinarJam Basic rather than standalone EverWebinar, that choice pays us less at the same 40 % rate, because Basic costs less.
What we will not do is soften those two pages because of it. The EverWebinar argument rests on figures anyone can check in a few minutes on the vendor's two pricing pages, everwebinar.com/pricing and webinarjam.com/pricing, read on 21 September 2026. EverWebinar on its own costs $199 a month, or $99 a month billed yearly. WebinarJam Basic costs $99 a month, or $79 a month billed yearly, and includes EverWebinar at no extra cost, with live webinars on top. Only EverWebinar's two-year plan ($79 a month, $1,896 paid upfront) matches that price, without live webinars. The WebinarJam Starter plan ($49, or $39 a month billed yearly) does not include EverWebinar. That was true before we joined the Genesis Digital programme and it is true now. If it stops being true, the page changes — not because of who pays us, but because the number moved.
In year one, we earn more from platforms we do not recommend first
This is the most useful thing on this page, so it gets its own heading. In the first year, on comparable plans, a Genesis Digital customer pays us more than a Welya customer does. Genesis pays the higher rate (40 %, against 20 % at Welya), but only for the first year. Welya pays for as long as the customer stays. At face value, with no conversion between dollars and euros, WebinarJam Basic ($99 billed monthly) pays us about twice what Welya's entry plan, Launch (€99 excl. tax, billed monthly; Welya’s prices read 25 September 2026), does, for the same 500-attendee room. After roughly two years on the same plan, a Welya customer has paid us more in total.
Welya is still the platform this site points to first, for its flat euro pricing excluding tax, 500 attendees and two-hour sessions from €79 a month billed yearly. Welya says it runs both live and evergreen webinars, and its pricing grid lists the same features on all three plans: only the caps change. Kartra is still described as what it is: a marketing suite whose webinar module does not publish an attendee cap or session limit, and which Kartra is retiring. Its help centre, checked on 24 September 2026, says that from 1 November 2026 you will no longer be able to create or edit webinars. We therefore do not recommend Kartra for hosting webinars; the detail is on our Kartra page. If first-year commission drove the ranking, WebinarJam and EverWebinar would come before Welya. You now have the means to check that we mean it.
What it does not change
Commission does not set the order; the method does. Genesis Digital pays us a higher rate in the first year and Welya pays for longer; neither fact decides where a platform ranks. The criteria are published in full on the methodology page, and a platform that pays us nothing can and does rank above one that pays us. Where a platform we earn from is the wrong choice for a given reader, the page says so.
Prices, limits and features are read from vendors’ own official pages and dated. Nothing on this site is written or approved by a vendor.
Discount codes
Where a platform gives readers a discount code, we publish the code in plain text. You can use it without going through our link. If a code is tracked, the platform may attribute the sale to us — that is disclosed here, and it does not change your price.
