Kartra Webinars: Retiring on 1 November 2026 — What to Use Instead

Kartra is an all-in-one marketing platform that happens to run webinars. That changes the question from “is it good” to “are you buying the rest of it too”.

Pricing read from kartra.com/pricing on 14 September 2026.

Update, 29 September 2026. Kartra's Help Center, checked 24 September 2026, says that Kartra Webinars is being retired: starting 1 November 2026, you will not be able to create or edit webinars. Kartra's pricing page still listed Webinars on the Starter plan when we rechecked it on 21 September 2026. We have rewritten this page to match.

The short answer. Do not buy Kartra for webinars. It can still make sense for its email, pages, products and membership side, but its webinar module stops accepting new or edited webinars on 1 November 2026. If webinars are the reason you are here, use a dedicated tool. Welya (€79/mo excl. tax, billed yearly), Demio ($45/mo) and WebinarGeek (€49/mo) all publish an attendee cap and a session limit. eWebinar ($84/mo) publishes a monthly registrant quota instead.

What each plan actually costs

Kartra has four plans. The cheapest one does not include webinars at all, and from 1 November 2026 none of them will let you create or edit webinars.

Plan Monthly Billed yearly Contacts Webinars
Essentials $59 $52/mo 500 Not included
Starter $119 $99/mo 2,500 Included
Growth $229 $189/mo 12,500 Included
Professional $549 $429/mo 25,000 Included
Read from kartra.com/pricing on 14 September 2026 and rechecked on 21 September 2026, with no price change. Starter is highlighted because it is the cheapest plan that lists webinars. Kartra's Help Center says the webinar module is being retired on 1 November 2026, on every plan.

The three things Kartra does not publish

  1. The attendee cap. There is no published limit on how many people can join a Kartra webinar, on any plan. Every dedicated platform below publishes one, or publishes the metric it uses instead. You cannot size Kartra against them without asking.
  2. The session length limit. Also absent. Session caps are where entry tiers usually bite. WebinarJam's cheapest plan ($39/mo billed yearly) stops at 1 hour and its Basic plan ($79/mo billed yearly) at 2 hours (WebinarJam's pricing page, checked 21 September 2026). Welya's entry plan (€79/mo excl. tax, billed yearly) also stops at 2 hours (Welya's pricing grid, read 25 September 2026). Kartra has never published a figure. We are affiliated with WebinarJam through Genesis Digital's programme; see our disclosure.
  3. Which plan evergreen starts on. Kartra's help centre documents an “Always On” event type, but the pricing grid never tied it to a plan, and Kartra's webinar feature page now redirects to the pricing page. Kartra says it will stop letting you create or edit webinars on 1 November 2026, so the comparison now marks this column “Module retiring” rather than “Vendor-stated”.

None of this makes Kartra a bad product. On webinars specifically, though, it was undocumented, and it is now being retired: from 1 November 2026 Kartra will no longer let you create or edit webinars. Do not move a webinar funnel onto it.

Kartra is shown on its Starter plan, its cheapest tier that includes webinars, not on its Essentials plan, which does not. Kartra says its webinar module is being retired on 1 November 2026. Every other row is that vendor's entry tier billed annually. "Not stated" means the vendor does not publish the figure. eWebinar limits registrants per month, not attendees per session.

Buying the whole stack for email, pages and memberships? Kartra has a 14-day free trial on its pricing page. That link is not tracked. Do not count webinars as part of the deal: Kartra says it will stop letting you create or edit them on 1 November 2026. We earn a commission on the Welya link above. We also hold an affiliate agreement with Genesis Digital, the company behind Kartra, WebinarJam and EverWebinar, and that is a conflict we think you should read about.

Straight answers

Does Kartra include webinars on every plan?

No. The Essentials plan at $52/mo billed yearly does not include them. Kartra's pricing page introduces webinars with the Starter plan at $99/mo billed yearly. More importantly, Kartra's Help Center says that Kartra Webinars is being retired: from 1 November 2026 you will no longer be able to create or edit webinars on any plan. If webinars are why you are looking at Kartra, look at a dedicated tool instead.

How many people can attend a Kartra webinar?

Kartra does not publish an attendee cap, and it does not publish a session length limit either. We checked the pricing page and the help centre on 14 and 21 September 2026 and found no figure. In the table above, Welya, Demio and WebinarGeek publish both. eWebinar publishes neither, but caps registrants per month instead (1,000 on its entry level). The question matters less now anyway: Kartra says that from 1 November 2026 you will no longer be able to create or edit webinars.

Can Kartra run evergreen webinars?

Kartra's help centre documents an “Always On” event type, but Kartra never published which plan it starts on or how it is limited, and its webinar feature page now redirects to the pricing page. The point is now moot: Kartra says that from 1 November 2026 you will no longer be able to create or edit webinars, live or evergreen. If evergreen is what you need, see the Evergreen column in the table above.

Is Kartra cheaper than a dedicated webinar tool?

Not for webinars alone, and from 1 November 2026 not for webinars at all, since Kartra is retiring the module. Starter costs $99/mo billed yearly, which is $54 a month more than Demio ($45/mo). Against Welya (€79/mo excl. tax), the gap depends on the euro-dollar rate on the day you pay; we do not convert currencies. That comparison only makes sense if webinars are all you want. Starter also carries 2,500 contacts, unlimited email and SMS, pages, products and memberships. Priced as a stack, it is a different question, but that stack will no longer include webinars.

Is there a free trial?

Yes: 14 days, free, stated on Kartra's pricing page. Use it to test the email, pages and membership side. Do not use it to test webinars: Kartra says that from 1 November 2026 you will no longer be able to create or edit them.

How this page was built

Every Kartra price and plan limit above was read from kartra.com/pricing on 14 September 2026 and rechecked on 21 September 2026; other vendors' figures come from their own pricing pages (Welya's grid read 25 September 2026; Demio, WebinarGeek and eWebinar read 5 September 2026). Where Kartra does not publish a figure, this page says so rather than estimating it — that is why those columns say “Not stated” rather than showing a plausible number.

Kartra (Kartra Inc.) belongs to Genesis Digital, the group that also runs WebinarJam and EverWebinar. We joined Genesis Digital's affiliate programme through PartnerStack on 14 September 2026. That single programme covers Kartra, WebinarJam and EverWebinar, but it gives us WebinarJam and EverWebinar links, not a Kartra one: the Kartra links on this page go to Kartra's public pricing page and are not tracked. We can earn a commission on WebinarJam and EverWebinar, the two products this site criticises on price on other pages. All of this is on the disclosure page, and the method is on the methodology page.
